Albipack was founded in 2000 in Águeda, Portugal, by two founders who combined hands-on packaging know-how with a clear ambition: to raise the standard of the Portuguese packaging industry. What began as a small technical operation grew, year after year, into a company built on proximity — to the client, to the problem, to the solution.
Over the next two decades, that proximity turned into a growing footprint: first across Portugal, then into Spain and the Portuguese-speaking African markets (PALOP), where a shared language made technical support faster and closer. Along the way, Albipack built a network of partnerships with leading European manufacturers — PRISMA INDUSTRIALE, VELTEKO, ARCA and DM Pack — becoming both a manufacturer of its own equipment and an official distributor of theirs. That dual model is still what sets Albipack apart: one partner engineering and sourcing the right solution, instead of just selling what's in a catalog.
Today, 25 years on, Albipack is ISO 9001 certified, a PME Líder and a COTEC-recognized innovator — credentials that back up what clients already know from experience: personalized projects, the right technology for the job, and a team that stays close through installation, maintenance and beyond. Ambition, loyalty, common sense, innovation, productivity, friendship, trust and know-how — the values spelled out in our own name — are still how we measure every project.

2000
Founded in Águeda
It started with two founders, a workshop in
Águeda, and a conviction that Portuguese packaging deserved better. No investors, no shortcuts — just know-how and the ambition to build something that lasted.
2003
Own manufacturing
A decade in, Albipack stopped just installing other people's machines and started building its own. That shift — from reseller to manufacturer — is still the backbone of how we work today: engineering the solution, not just sourcing it.
2012
Iberian expansion
Growth crossed the border into Spain, and shared language carried us further still, into the Portuguese-speaking African markets.
